How well do you know a company? After all, it’s just some building with a bunch of people that make stuff, right? Well, as many of us know, it’s much more than that; it’s an ongoing story of ingenuity, combined effort and dedication. Here are 1o things you didn’t know about QMA:

1. Company Age

Our company is only eight years old, though the combined manufacturing and machining experience of each one of our engineers spans out into entire decades. In the end, it’s not solely the length of time that builds a reputable and dependable company, but the bright minds that work hard beyond its walls.

2. CNC Variety

Let’s just say, we’re pretty happy  right now with the tools we have to get the job done. Three-axis, four-axis, five-axis, lathes, mills, you name it. We’re also one of the few machining shops in Toronto to operate a DMG-85 Monoblock, an extremely versatile and fully-automated 5-axis CNC machine.

3. Jack of all projects

Thanks to the variety of our clients, the team at QMA has manufactured everything from transmission assemblies for trucks, to tiny accessories for military equipment, to structural components for the aerospace industry. 4. Raw Materials

We utilize common raw materials such as stainless steel, aluminium  and plastic, but in case the job at hand requires that extra bit of high-end strength and quality,  we work with a whole range of exotic materials such as titanium, 4140 steel, brass, copper and graphite. We haven’t yet found a way to machine something out of butter, sorry.

5. Scale

QMA has managed well over 5,000 projects from start to finish in the last few years with just a team of seven engineers/machinists. After all, it’s not the size that matters… it’s how you use it.

6. In-house CAD/CAM modelling and processing

What good would our machines be if we didn’t have the software and knowledge to back them up? Our experts can assist you with all stages of your design project; from the point in which it appears as a digital diagram on a computer screen, to the moment you see it for real in your own hands.

7. ISO 9001 Certified

We are fully certified and equipped to manufacture and deliver the highest quality of machined components in the business.

Localized in Toronto’s industrial heart of Scarborough, QMA has the edge when it comes down to fast, convenient service.

9. Around the Clock Service

When a client needs a project to be done as quickly as possible, we don’t mess around. Whether it’s a weekend, a holiday, morning or night – we make sure all parts get to where they need to be precisely on schedule.
